Hi Mike and Jerry, great content. I think your creating products for people aged 60+ makes sense. These people have so much to offer and this economy has motivated them to participate in network marketing. Most of them can learn internet marketing but anything that shortens the learning curve for them should be well received in the market.

Focus on one skill set and take a year to master it.This is the biggest take away from Mike’s interview.With all the offers out there you think you need to learn it all.But you end up knowing a little about a lot which gives you little value.For me it’s copywriting.That I intend to master.

I have a comment I’d like to add in response to one of the questions Jerry posed regarding determining which is the best path to take in Network Marketing, Face to Face or Online. I understand that as an upline you want to focus your team on the path that is duplicatable, easy to succeed with and easy to teach. However, understanding that people have different skill sets and different strengths/weaknesses and allowing them to excel on the path that best fits their personality can hugely benefit a downline team. Having leaders within your team with a diverse set of skills will strengthen your downline as well as helping you to avoid alienating potentially strong recruits.
I like to use the example of construction. You can’t build a house if you only know how to frame or pour concrete. You need framers, dry wallers, electricians, plumbers, roofers and landscapers to build a house.

As a 61 year old baby boomer I appreciate the forthright answers Mike gave especially relating to the time needed to transform (in my case I owned “brick and mortar” businesses for many years) my thought process through online training. I am a newbie to the network marketing industry. I have purchased 6 of your products including Magnetic Sponsoring, MLM Traffic Formula, Black Belt Recruiting, Copywriters Guild etc. I am more than happy with the quality of these products. In my estimation, they really are bleeding edge marketing info products. I am continuously studying these materials as I develop my own particular network marketing business. Despite being a baby boomer (51 years of age) and with minimal computing skills (but increasing every day) it’s people like you that inspire me to get out of my comfort zone to acquire a skill set that in the past I would have avoided like the plague. Aside from your obvious expertise what impressed me most about your interview with Jerry was you, the person, Mike Dillard and your constant emphasis on the importance of being genuine and delivering value in everything that you do. I agree with Paul it change the culture. Thanks to Jerry for giving this opportunity to have Mike’s thought on how it is at the biginning and the thinking evolution of the way through work, college, self taught, ambivalance in order to get focused disciplined through time.
Focus on one till comfortable as it wont be overnight, Practice Perfect Perform. How ethical marketer do it for a long time vs shabby, short term stragegies that wont last the long run. A perspective that makes sense received by the an enlightened person.

I’ve watched both videos and as always great content … with your power point video I actually took the time to retype each slide as I listened to you .. it helps me process the information more effectively.
I think the Waiting Tables video and the questions asked helped you rethink what you would do if you had to start over again … and the Robots video has the majority of the value.
The more you allow others to interact with you .. the better you get .. so don’t be a stranger and don’t be too difficult to reach.

Wow, everytime I hear you speak Mike, I am humbled and moved. We have similar stories and I guess when I hear you talk about your walk in life, my hope just shoots to the stars.
It’s been about 5 or 6 months and I am re-reading Magnetic Sponsoring. I know you are correct, it’s going to take a good solid year to learn the basic fundamentals and I’m halfway there. I cannot believe how differently I’ve interpreted M.S. the second time around. It’s like an entirely new breakthrough. What an awesome must read if you want to be successful in this business.

I think that teamwork is great and when individual skills complement each other the biger value for the team and the common goal. But I do see that the leader must be open to equifinality and like it otherwise he is the one that lose control and momentum,right? What´s momentum like in the group that allows equifinality and build from the view of the individuals complementary team?
