I recently wrote a newsletter with the subject:
“How to Easily Raid Someone’s Downline for Profit!”
Obviously, with such a strong headline, it captured the attention of thousands of my readers. Many were thinking to themselves, “Has Todd finally lost it? Is he really teaching people how to do something like that?”
Of course, the subject matter of the newsletter was me expressing my opinion about how I really feel about this subject and educating my listeners and readers about what they should do with regard to this recruiting concept that is often widely spread as the “best” way to get good people fast.
Let me make my point CRYSTAL CLEAR. I do not condone or suggest that anyone spend their time recruiting network marketers from another company. In fact, I've never condoned it.
The reason I am writing this and providing you with the following statistics is because I am constantly having people email and call me asking "How do I recruit network marketers?"
My answer to most people is simple. I say this, "You obviously know who I am, don't you? Do you think I am capable of recruiting people and building an organization?" Of course, they say "yes" to both of those questions.
My next question to them is this: "How would you like it if I got a hold of your genealogy report, using the skills that I have, and tore apart your organization piece by piece? Would that make you happy?" Of course, their answer to that is ALWAYS "No!"
I live my life by The Golden Rule: Do unto others as you'd have done to you.
There is ZERO need for you to go attack someone else's group who I’m quite sure have worked incredibly hard to get where they are. It disgusts me when people's primary focus is raiding someone else's organization. Where are their business ethics?
Now…if you know FOR SURE that a company is having problems, or they are about to go out of business, then you’re certainly justified in helping those distributors find a new, more stable home.
So, now that you know my real feelings about this subject, let me give you some statistics that you might find interesting.
Currently, there are roughly 49 million in people who are involved in Direct Sales globally.
The US Population is approximately 303 million. There are over 7 Billion people living on planet earth.
The average minimum wage in the US is $6.55/hr in 2008. Let's say that a person who is working for minimum wage works A LOT of hours per week. And, let's take it to the extreme, meaning working 12 hours per day, 7 days per week. That's a total of 84 hours in a week! Here's what they'd earn:
$786 per week
$3144 per month
$37,728 per year
That's BEFORE taxes! And, that's also suggesting they worked 52 weeks a year, 7 days a week, 12 hours per day! How many people can work that much? Even God says to work 6 and take your 7th day for rest and spiritual time.
I make more than that in a month! I don’t say that to brag, but my goodness! Try raising a family on that type of income and you’re in for a rough road ahead.
Instead of attacking downlines and talking to people who you can make a bunch of money off of, why not go after people who could really USE a chance in life?
I went directly to the US Department of Labor website and pulled down some very interesting statistics that go perfectly with some of the philosophies I teach related to prospecting and business building.
Advertising, marketing, promotions, public relations, and sales managers held about 583,000 jobs in 2006.
Advertising sales agents held over 170,000 jobs in 2006.
Insurance sales agents held about 436,000 jobs in 2006.
In 2006, real estate brokers and sales agents held about 564,000 jobs; real estate sales agents held approximately 77 percent of these jobs.
Retail salespersons held about 4.5 million jobs in 2006.
Manufacturers' and wholesale sales representatives held about 2 million jobs in 2006
Sales worker supervisors held about 2.2 million jobs in 2006.
Securities, commodities, and financial services sales agents held about 320,000 jobs in 2006.
Travel agents held about 101,000 jobs in May 2006 and are found in every part of the country.
Now, most of these people are NOT in the minimum wage category. You noticed I didn’t put “burger flippers” into this list.
These are people that are HIGHLY LIKELY to respond favorably to a message about a business they can do from home.
Given the size of the US and Global population, and the need for people to EARN more and create FREEDOM in their lives, it sure makes sense to help those people now, doesn't it?

Todd, I've enjoyed listening to your course, watching the video tutorials and calling in to listen the power hour. I really commend you for practicing what you preach. Not only do you teach a technique, but you put your techniques to the test, LIVE.
That's what I call putting your money where your mouth is. Not to mention it takes some guts to have 100s of people listening, while you call complete strangers. In my opinion, that empowers other to get over their fear, and give it a try.
I have found my own calling to professionals and even other network marketers more postured and confident since I ordered your course. My best example to date was this past December.
My inner instincts told me that who would be willing to invest anywhere from $1000 to $8000 in my business opportunity during the holidays, and during such a busy "gift buying", account draining time.
Well, I actually set my highest sales record to date during that last 2 weeks of the year. I adder 5 new reps in 2 weeks, including 3 who came in out the $8k level.

Today was a really cool day for me Todd. While I was in surgery, (I'm a sales rep of orthopedic implants), someone from your office called me and asked if I would return their call. They said they were your director of marketing and that if I would call back, either they or you would answer the phone.
I have no idea of the purpose of the call, but a part of me thought that perhaps you wanted to do business with me, since we are both in the Magnetic Sponsoring community???
I don't know, but I can gaurantee you I will be returning that call tomorrow. You have earned my respect and your results, the constand giving back, and delivering more value than expected tells me alot about you. And I like what I see.
